Privacy
How Green Policing handles your data.
Green Policing Riau is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, and we don't sell data. These practices apply to the Riau observatory, not the upstream project's domain.
What we don't store
The 'Who lives near you' feature uses your location only inside your browser, to calculate distance, and never sends or stores it. Any photo you add for a Forest Resident Card is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded. You can skip both.
What we collect
Anonymous, aggregate usage analytics (Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics) to understand which pages are useful, a small functional cookie that remembers your theme, and /lapor form fields (optional name, district, summary, source link) if the submission is written to the editorial file. We do not build an advertising profile.
Third-party services
Pages load map tiles and assets from providers such as Esri, OpenStreetMap, Global Forest Watch, and public font/CDN hosts. As with any website, these may see your IP address as part of serving the request. Analytics is provided by Google and Vercel.
Cookies
We use a functional cookie only to remember your theme choice. Analytics may set its own cookies or identifiers; you can block these with your browser or an ad-blocker without breaking the site.
Your rights & contact
Wildlife cards and campaign location stay in the browser. The /lapor form may store an optional name, district, and summary in this site's editorial file so the signal is not lost. We do not sell data. For privacy questions, open /kontak.
Changes
We will update this page if our data practices change.
