Green Policing is an independent public-interest observatory for Riau Province. It compiles credible third-party public data about forests and customary rights and shows it as-is. Please read the following before relying on anything here.
Purpose
This is a public observatory for Riau Province, not a legal, commercial, or investigative-journalism service, and not an official Polri portal. We do not claim national Indonesia coverage. We publish data so the public can see and understand it. We do not sell it, run ads, or take sides.
Third-party data, shown as-is
Every layer comes from a credible public source, cited on the Data Sources and Methodology pages, and is shown without alteration. Some overlays (concessions, WDPA, peat, mangrove) appear only when PMTiles are hosted; we do not invent missing boundaries. Third-party data can be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors. It is provided on an 'as is' basis, with no warranty of accuracy or fitness for any purpose.
Not an accusation, presumption of innocence
Green Policing draws no conclusions and makes no allegations against any person or company. Names of companies, concessions, and places come directly from the source datasets, not from us. An overlap between layers (for example, tree cover loss inside a concession) is context, not a verdict, and tree cover loss is not always illegal deforestation. Nothing here is a determination that any party has broken the law; we uphold the presumption of innocence.
Right of reply & corrections
If you are an affected party, or you spot data you believe is inaccurate, misleading, or objectionable, send a correction through the /lapor form. We review in good faith and will correct, annotate, or remove the item. The right of reply is always open. That form is not an official Polri channel.
Limitation of liability
Use this site at your own discretion. Green Policing and its contributors are not liable for any loss or decision made in reliance on the information shown. For legal, commercial, or field decisions, verify against the original sources.
Intellectual property
The code is open source under AGPL-3.0. Each dataset remains the property of its source and is used under that source's licence; see the Data Sources and Credits pages.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the project evolves. Continued use means you accept the current version.
Corrections and right-of-reply requests are welcome and reviewed in good faith.
